*** Our township is joining Exeter Borough’s Recycling Program. Exeter Borough will provide a recycling trailer with a divider separating 2 sections. Each section will be clearly marked either commingled or newspaper/cardboard. Please be certain to place the correct recyclable in the specified section. Residents are asked t bring their recycling materials in reusable containers to the Jackson Township Municipal Building, 2211 Huntsville Road, Jackson Township, PA. Please take the container home with you. No recyclable can be in a plastic bag. We cannot recycle plastic bags. It is very important that all residents follow the recycling guides listed below. This avoids contamination and unnecessary manpower hours. Proper preparation insures the programs success! COMMINGLED (What is collected) | PROPER PREPARATION | | Plastic (Bottles & Jars only!) | Remove lids, rinse and flatten | | Glass (Bottles & Jars only!) | Remove lids, rinse, Do not break | | Tin, aluminum & bi-metallic cans | Rinse cans and flatten | NEWSPAPER & CORRUGATED CARDBOARD | Place in a brown paper bag or bundle & tie it | | Newspapers and glossy inserts | Do not use plastic bags | | Corrugated Cardboard | Place newspapers & cardboard together | | Corrugated cardboard is cardboard with a ribbed section between 2 heavy layers of cardboard. Flatten and bundle in pieces no larger than 3’ x 3’. No other type of cardboard, no wax coated or food contaminated cardboard will be accepted. |
